Sandra – Back to Life

Even though Sandra is virtually unknown in the US, many people will be surprised to know that Sandra was the voice of the first Enigma recordings, from the first Enigma record you can hear Sandra’s sensual voice whispering french words through the tracks and enchanting the listener across the chorus of the songs.

Sandra’s involvement in Enigma started from the very beginning as she was married to Michael Cretu the mind behind Enigma, and you can certainly see the similarity to some of the songs in her “Paintings in Yellow” album, produced by Michael Cretu.

Even though Sandra is no longer married to Michael Cretu and her music has evolved into a more up tempo sound in her latest effort “Back to life” you can still perceive the sophistication of the production that was characteristic of every Enigma production.

Widely available through Amazon.co.uk Back To Life from Sandra promises to be the relaunch of the charismatic singer’s career. A collection of 15 carefully crafted and produced songs that will gain Sandra more fans around Europe.

This is Sandr’as 13th. studio album and it has a more upbeat tempo production that it’s predecessor. The album was recorded in New York and this time  Sandra has collaborated  with with Toby Gad (famous for collaborating with Beyonce and Fergie).

Still even though he is no longer present in Sandra’s professional life you can still notice the influence of Michael Cretu, Sandra’s former husband and producer of most of her works.

Back To Life from Sandra marks the final musical independence of the beautiful singer, where she takes a bit more control of the production of the album.
